The American restaurant Chili’s opens at Băneasa Shopping City

The American chain Chili’s, one of the world’s most beloved casual dining brands, marks its entry into the local market with the opening of its first restaurant at Băneasa Shopping City, the leading destination for shopping, leisure, and entertainment in the north of the capital.

Founded in 1975 in Dallas, Texas, Chili’s has become over the past decades an international benchmark for contemporary American cuisine. Today, the brand is present in 29 countries, with approximately 1,600 restaurants worldwide, around 1,200 of them in the United States.

The Chili’s concept is clearly distinct from fast food: it is a full-service restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere and a strong focus on the social experience—whether it’s family meals, meetings with colleagues, or outings with friends.

The menu is inspired by modern American cuisine, with strong influences from Texas and the southwestern United States. Portions are generous, flavors are bold, and the combination of meats, cheeses, and savory sauces is balanced by carefully dosed seasonings, without an emphasis on spiciness.

A key element of the new location at Băneasa Shopping City is the attention given to ingredients: over 90% of them come from local producers, ensuring freshness and better responding to the preferences of Romanian consumers.

Signature dishes that define the Chili’s experience include Big Mouth Burgers, Sizzling Fajitas, hand-prepared Chicken Crispers, and the famous Presidente Margarita, made using the hand-shaken method.
